The regatta on the second day, Sunday, April 21, was very busy for the crews: ideal bora wind conditions with some gusts up to 20 knots, allowed the high-profile sailboats to be pushed to the limit.
The start, specially positioned under the Grand Brioni to give the hotel guests a unique spectacle of intersections and maneuvers, quickly led the seven maxis to circumnavigate the island of Porer, Istria’s southernmost island, and then return in front of the Hotel Brioni to cross the finish line.
The victory of the second and final race was won by Dusan Puh at the rudder of Adriatic Europa: designed by the studio of renowned architect and industrial designer Andrea Vallicelli, totally built in carbon fiber, it ranks first overall in the final ranking of Prosecco Doc Maxi On Cooking Star 2024.
The Vallicelli 60 is followed on equal points score, but in second place for compensated times, by Alberto Leghissa’s Anywave, while in third place is Prosecco Doc Shockwave³ led by skipper Mitja Kosmina.
At the end of the regatta, the prize-giving took place at sea: the impressive Maxi Yachts were joined by event organizer Claudio Demartis, who presented them with their prizes and was able to congratulate the crews and participate closely in the sailors’ celebration.
